NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR BEER LICENSE OR PERMIT

Notice is hereby given that Adam Rohrer d/b/a Black Rose Farm, LLC, has applied to the Beer Board of Humphreys County, Tennessee for a license or permit to engage in the retail sale of beer at 6775 East Blue Creek Rd., McEwen, TN (on premises).

A public hearing will be held on April 23, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the Rawlings Building, 102 Thompson St., Waverly, Tennessee at which time the Beer Board will consider said application.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

CITY OF MCEWEN

PAVING

The City of McEwen is accepting sealed bids from qualified companies interested in city street paving. The contractor selected will be responsible for preparing grading, leveling, cleaning, tacking, and placing a hot mix asphalt surface over lay on streets in the City of McEwen.

Bidders are required to provide a bid bond and certificate of insurance along with the bid in a sealed envelope.

Bids will be received at: City of McEwen, 9586 Highway 70, East, McEwen, TN 37101 until 9:00 AM April 13, 2026.

Bidders agree by the submission to commence work within 30 days of the issuance by the city of a written "Notice to Proceed" and to fully complete the work within 60 days from that date.

The work shall have a one-year warranty secured by a bond.

Copies of the specifications and contract document packets are available by contacting the city @ 931-582-6211. The City of McEwen reserves the right to reject any proposals and to award the bid in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the city.

BID NOTICE

Humphreys County is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for site grading and concrete work for  a new convenience center located at 16215 Hwy 13 S, Hurricane Mills, TN 37078. Bid packages may be requested at Rawlings Building, 102 Thompson St., Rm 1, Waverly, TN or via email at agunderson@humphreyscountytn.gov. Sealed bids will be accepted until April 22 at 1:00 p.m., at which time bids will be publicly opened. This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee. Humphreys County does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs or activities receiving federal or state funding.

The Humphreys County Emergency Communications District (911 Board) will hold a public hearing on the District’s proposed 2026-2027 operating budget.  The hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the 911 Board Meeting Room at the Humphreys County Emergency Communications Center, 103 East Main St., Waverly, TN.  Anyone wishing to make comments may do so at that time.
