ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Lashlee, Rich, Inc., Construction Manager for Humphreys County Board of Education will receive sealed bids for the Renovations to Waverly Central High School, Waverly, TN.  Bids will be received at the Humphreys County Board of Education office 2443 Hwy 70 E Waverly TN 37185 until 2:00 P.M., Local Time, Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Bids will be opened and read aloud.

No bid will be received or accepted after the above specified time for receipt of bids.  Such bids may be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the Bidder.

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on Thursday, April 14, 2026 at 1:00 P.M., at Waverly Central High School, 1325 US-70 Waverly, TN. 37185.

All bids in excess of $25,000.00 are required to include bid security in the amount equal to 5% of each bid sum.  Bid bonds shall be issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Tennessee and made payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc.  The surety must have an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better.  A cashier’s check or certified check made payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc. will also be acceptable.

Successful bidders for Bid Packages in excess of $25,000.00 shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the Subcontract Sum.  Bonding Company shall have an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better.  All bonds shall be made payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc.

No Bidder will be permitted to withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date of opening bids

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids, to evaluate bids and to accept the bid, which, in the Owner’s opinion, may be in the best interest of the Owner.

No sub-contract is given or implied to the successful bidder until a written sub-contract is offered by the Construction Manager and signed by all parties.

All bidders shall comply with Public Chapter 587 of 2007, as codified in Tennessee Code Annotated Section 49-5-413, which requires all contractors to facilitate a criminal history records checks conducted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for each employee prior to permitting the employee to have contact with students or enter school grounds when students are present.

Sealed proposals must be clearly marked “Jail Food Service Proposal” and delivered to the Humphreys County Executive’s Office no later than May 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM, at which time all bids will be publicly opened. Humphreys County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the County. Notice is hereby given that on the 2nd day of April, 2026 Letters of Testamentary in respect to the Estate of TROY DANIEL RYE, deceased, who died on March 18, 2026, were issued to the Executor, Jefferey Oron Rye, by the Chancery Court of Humphreys County, Tennessee.

All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or un-matured, against the estate are required to file the same with the Clerk of the above named Court on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2). Otherwise their claims will forever be barred:

(1) (A) Four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting, as the case may be) of this Notice if the creditor received an actual copy of this Notice to Creditors at least sixty (60) days before date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting); or

    (B) Sixty (60) days from the date of the creditor received an actual copy of the Notice to Creditors, if the creditor received a copy of the Notice less than sixty (60) days prior to the date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting) as described in (1)(A); or
