The public will take notice that in accordance with the requirements of TCA §8-44-101, known as the “Sunshine Law”, the regular meeting of the Planning Commission originally scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2026, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Rawlings Building, 102 Thompson St., Waverly.

The Humphreys County Commission will meet in a special called meeting, Monday, June 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM, in the Chamber Room of the Rawlings Building for the purpose of considering the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget and Appropriation. The proposed budget will be published in the newspaper, online at https://www.humphreyscountytn.gov/, and on the Humphreys County Government Facebook page before the meeting.

This matter came to be heard on the Petition to Quiet Title and for Declaratory Judgment. Pursuant to T.C.A. §21-1-204, it appears from the pleadings in this cause, being duly sworn to, that the unknown heirs of Robert J. White, cannot be served with ordinary process of law for the following reason: After diligent inquiry the identity and whereabouts of the said Defendants cannot be ascertained.

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, that service be made by publication, and that said Defendants enter an appearance within thirty (30) days after the last publication and file an answer to the Petition, or judgment by default may be taken against you for the relief demanded in the complaint. A copy of this order is to be published for four consecutive weeks in The News Democrat.

Notice is hereby given that on the 20th day of May, 2026 Letters of Testamentary in respect to the Estate of JAMES EDWARD TRAYLOR, deceased, who died on February 21, 2026, were issued to the Executrix, Teresa Marie Sensing, by the Chancery Court of Humphreys County, Tennessee.

All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or un-matured, against the estate are required to file the same with the Clerk of the above named Court on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2). Otherwise their claims will forever be barred:

(1) (A) Four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting, as the case may be) of this Notice if the creditor received an actual copy of this Notice to Creditors at least sixty (60) days before date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting); or
