Notice is hereby given that on the 7th day of April, 2025 Letters Testamentary in respect to the Estate of NANCY JOY FIELDER, deceased, who died March 18, 2025, were issued to the Executrix by the Chancery Court of Humphreys County, Tennessee.

PUBLIC NOTICE - REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

Humphreys County Government Human Resources will be accepting sealed bids for Group Major Medical Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Benefits for county employees to be in place and effective as early as July 1, 2025.

Plan benefits must be as good or better than the current plan. All supporting information and data needed for the RFP can be obtained from Tim Herndon with Benefits Blueprint at 615-730-9191 or tim@benefitsblueprint.net.

CITY OF NEW JOHNSONVILLE

REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSAL

The City of New Johnsonville is now accepting sealed bid proposals for asphalt resurfacing, patching of various streets (approximately 5 miles) and painted lines (approximately 2 miles) on several streets in the city limits.  Mandatory site visit is required to determine the streets and areas to be repaired.  Sealed bid proposals, subject to the conditions listed herein, will be received until Friday, May 9, 2025 @ 2 p.m. at 323 Long Street (City Hall), New Johnsonville, Tennessee.  Bid proposals may be submitted in person in sealed envelopes or by U.S. Mail to Paving Project c/o City of New Johnsonville, 323 Long Street, New Johnsonville, TN 37134.   Bids will be opened in the conference room at the specified time and publicly read, for furnishing all labor materials, and performing all work connected with the following projects:  The overlay of various city streets per ton; and patching as needed per square yard.  The bid shall also include a price for milling per square yard, gravel shoulders per ton and line striping as needed.

All materials must be new and meet or exceed TDOT specifications.  Bid must be guaranteed for fiscal year 2025-2026 (through June 30, 2026).

All bidders must be properly licensed with the State of Tennessee.  To demonstrate qualifications to perform the work, each bidder must submit a completed contractor qualification statement and a copy of the Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace affidavit with the bid proposal.  The City of New Johnsonville may make any investigation deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform any work.  Successful bidders must also provide a certificate of insurance including general liability, workman’s compensation and employer’s liability.

Lashlee, Rich, Inc., Construction Manager for Humphreys County Board of Education will receive sealed bids for the Demolition of Existing High School, McEwen, TN.  Bids will be received at the Construction Manager’s Office Lashlee-Rich, INC 1100 E Main St, Humboldt, TN 38343 until 2:00 P.M., Local Time, Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Bids will be opened and read aloud.

No bid will be received or accepted after the above specified time for receipt of bids.  Such bids may be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the Bidder.

Bids shall include the following.

Demolition of the Entire Existing High School

Haul away from the Site the Entire Demolition Material

Include Removal of Basement and all foundation

Include Compacted Clay/Chert to bring basement area up to grade

Highly Recommend to Visit the Site and Discuss with Mark Baker at the Construction office.

All bids in excess of $25,000.00 are required to include bid security in the amount equal to 5% of each bid sum.  Bid bonds shall be issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Tennessee and made payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc..  The surety must have an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better.  A cashier’s check or certified check made payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc. will also be acceptable.

Successful bidders for Bid Packages in excess of $25,000.00 shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the Subcontract Sum.  Bonding Company shall have an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better.  All bonds shall be made payable to Lashlee-Rich, Inc.

No Bidder will be permitted to withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date of opening bids

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids, to evaluate bids and to accept the bid, which, in the Owner’s opinion, may be in the best interest of the Owner.

No sub-contract is given or implied to the successful bidder until a written sub-contract is offered by the Construction Manager and signed by all parties.

All bidders shall comply with Public Chapter 587 of 2007, as codified in Tennessee Code Annotated Section 49-5-413, which requires all contractors to facilitate a criminal history records checks conducted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for each employee prior to permitting the employee to have contact with students or enter school grounds when students are present.
