NOTICE OF INTENT TO EXCEED CERTIFIED TAX RATE
The Mayor and City Council for the City of New Johnsonville, Tennessee will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., on the City’s intent to exceed the certified property tax rate. This public hearing will be held at City Hall, 323 Long Street, New Johnsonville, Tennessee. The certified tax rate as defined by T.C.A. § 67-5-1701 is $0.5527 per $100 of assessed valuation. The City’s proposed FY 2026-2027 budget, if adopted, will require a proposed tax levy of $0.6027 per $100 of assessed valuation.

METAL BUILDING REPAIR
Notice is hereby given that the City of Waverly shall receive bids for the following: Metal Building Repair. All bids must be delivered to Waverly City Hall, 101 East Main Street Waverly, Tennessee by September 1, 2026 @10:00 AM at which time bids will be open and read aloud. PAVEMENT STRIPING
The City of Waverly is now accepting bids for pavement striping and marking for fiscal year 2026-2027. Price should be per foot for both mechanical and manual installation. Bid includes using paint or thermoplastic for center lines, edge lines, parking lots, turn arrows, crossings, stop bars, etc. All material must meet or exceed TDOT specifications. Successful bidder must be properly licensed with the State of Tennessee. The City of Waverly may make any investigation deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform any work. Successful bidder must also provide a certificate of insurance including general liability, workman’s compensation, and employer’s liability. Bids will be opened at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday September 1, 2026, in the conference room of Waverly City Hall, 101 East Main St., Waverly, TN 37185.
