CITY OF NEW JOHNSONVILLE
REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSAL
The City of New Johnsonville is now accepting sealed bid proposals for asphalt resurfacing, patching of various streets (approximately 5 miles) and painted lines (approximately 2 miles) on several streets in the city limits. Mandatory site visit is required to determine the streets and areas to be repaired. Sealed bid proposals, subject to the conditions listed herein, will be received until Friday, May 9, 2025 @ 2 p.m. at 323 Long Street (City Hall), New Johnsonville, Tennessee. Bid proposals may be submitted in person in sealed envelopes or by U.S. Mail to Paving Project c/o City of New Johnsonville, 323 Long Street, New Johnsonville, TN 37134. Bids will be opened in the conference room at the specified time and publicly read, for furnishing all labor materials, and performing all work connected with the following projects: The overlay of various city streets per ton; and patching as needed per square yard. The bid shall also include a price for milling per square yard, gravel shoulders per ton and line striping as needed.
All materials must be new and meet or exceed TDOT specifications. Bid must be guaranteed for fiscal year 2025-2026 (through June 30, 2026).
All bidders must be properly licensed with the State of Tennessee. To demonstrate qualifications to perform the work, each bidder must submit a completed contractor qualification statement and a copy of the Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace affidavit with the bid proposal. The City of New Johnsonville may make any investigation deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform any work. Successful bidders must also provide a certificate of insurance including general liability, workman’s compensation and employer’s liability.

The City of New Johnsonville also reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals, waive any informality and award contracts that appear to be in its best interest.

Notice is hereby given that on the 25th day of March, 2025 Letters of Testamentary in respect to the Estate of JAYNE H. TURNER, deceased, who died October 28, 2024, were issued to the Executor, Morris K. Turner by the Chancery Court of Humphreys County, Tennessee.
All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or un-matured, against the estate are required to file the same with the Clerk of the above named Court on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2). Otherwise their claims will forever be barred:
(1) (A) Four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting, as the case may be) of this Notice if the creditor received an actual copy of this Notice to Creditors at least sixty (60) days before date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting); or
(B) Sixty (60) days from the date of the creditor received an actual copy of the Notice to Creditors, if the creditor received a copy of the Notice less than sixty (60) days prior to the date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting) as described in (1)(A); or
(2) Twelve (12) months from the decedents date of death.
